My creative journey has been a lifelong process but since retirement seven years ago I have had the luxury of time to pursue my passion.
Nature. History. Family. Poetry. These are the elements I incorporate into my collage, mixed-media and encaustic pieces.
I’m fascinated by what is hidden behind the layers and the veils that wax and other materials can help me create. I believe that intuitive inspiration guides me through my creative process.
Layering and integrating the materials is a voyage of discovery.
Since moving to the Greater Napanee area two years ago, I have been inspired by the serenity of the landscape and by the peace that this beautiful area has afforded me. My artistic calling is best summed up by author Alice Walker: “Whenever you are creating beauty around you, you are restoring your own soul.
Largely self-taught, I appreciate the many teachers who have allowed me to spread my creative wings.
