I am a mixed media artist residing in Bath, Ontario. Nature has inspired my work and Alcohol Ink has allowed me to capture the explosion of colour and complexity that I see. Occasionally acrylic paint joins the Alcohol Ink to bring out the best in a painting.
I stepped into the art creation world in 2020 through an attraction to the wonders of Alcohol Ink and the vivid expression they allow. I have been creative through other mediums, fabric and wood over the years however alcohol ink has a draw that stays and can’t be denied. My paintings are about feelings and colours invoked when viewing nature.
Each year I donate several of my art pieces to various community fund raisers for auction. This is an unexpected but fully welcome way to share and care, supporting local fund raising efforts.
I love putting colour to paper and working with the ink to find form, shape, depth and that illusive sense achieved when the story comes together and feels right.
It’s been a positive experience to be around other creative minds in local art groups and to appreciate efforts being made by other artists, seeing how they lift and encourage each other.
